Welcome the Rev. Canon Wesley Jagoe

We are pleased to welcome the Reverend Canon Wesley Jagoe to the Diocese! Wes joins us from the Gulf Atlantic Diocese of the ACNA, having just dimissoried in on January 25, 2025.

Wes has been serving as the chaplain at Trinity Anglican Seminary in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. As the child of an Episcopal priest and school teacher, he was raised mainly in Texas and Florida. While he also has lived in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, Wes is no stranger to the Pittsburgh area. He lived in Ambridge both when his dad attended seminary and when he himself was in seminary at Trinity.

Prior to seminary, Wes completed a residency program at The Falls Church Anglican, in Virginia. His first post after ordination in 2017 was canon for worship at Saint Peter’s Anglican Cathedral in Tallahassee, Florida. From 2020-2024, he was the canon and chaplain to Archbishop Foley Beach. Since 2007, he has served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps (both active and reserve) and has completed tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, and aboard ship. A lieutenant colonel, he currently works as a field historian.

Wes’s wife Katie, a pediatric dentist, is from Montgomery, Alabama. Wes and Katie met in the narthex of Saint Philip’s Church in Charleston, South Carolina, and married in 2023.
