Our bishop, staff, and governing leaders are passionate about serving the clergy and congregations of our diocese, as well as connecting new Anglicans with resources to grow deeper in their faith.
The Rt. Rev. Alex Whitcomb Cameron was consecrated Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh on August 6, 2022, by the Most Rev. Dr. Foley Beach, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America. He has been an ordained Anglican priest for more than 30 years, serving churches in Canada and the United States. Most recently, he led the Isaiah Forty Foundation, which provides teaching, prayer, and coaching to those seeking healing and wholeness.
Alex has served as Canon for Church Planting and Leadership Development in the Anglican Diocese in New England, on their Standing Committee as a member and as chair, and as the chair of the Bishop’s Council in the Diocese of the Upper Midwest. He previously worked for General Electric and had his own consulting company. He holds a M.Div. from Wycliffe College in Toronto, and a B.A. from Dalhousie University in Halifax.
Alex and his wife Tamara have been married since 1987. They have four adult children and four grandchildren. He enjoys cycling, woodworking, and playing the double bass.
Jen is our database administrator and supports our director of administration with various administrative and financial tasks. She can also be found helping wherever needed at diocesan events and around the office. Raised in western Pennsylvania, Jen attended schools in Charleroi, Indiana, and Brownsville. She has a B.S. in chemistry with an education related area from the University of Pittsburgh, and a diploma in Christian ministry from Trinity Anglican Seminary. She has worked at her local public library and as a chemist and chemistry teacher, in addition to many ministry roles, including directing some children’s programs. Jen has two kids with her husband, Eric, as well as three cats. Her family attends Church of the Ascension, where Jen serves in many roles, having recently served as a member of the vestry and a deputy to Convention.
